QUALITY & INTERNATIONAL SERVICE

Hospital Accreditation and International-Service Capabilities

Hospital grade, accreditation, international medical centres and insurance direct billing describe different aspects of capability. Historical or limited-scope records should not be interpreted as a current whole-hospital status.

01

Grade III, Class A hospital

A Chinese hospital accreditation result reflecting overall management and service capability. It is not an international accreditation.

02

JCI / ACHS

International healthcare quality and safety accreditation systems. The date, scope and current accreditation cycle must be checked.

03

ISO 15189

Accreditation of quality and competence in medical laboratories. It normally applies only to the accredited laboratory scope.

04

International Hospital Accreditation Standards (China)

A domestic assessment system for internationally oriented medical services, requiring evidence from the assessment body or hospital.

05

International medical centre

A hospital service unit for international patients that may provide dedicated areas, multilingual support, appointment pathways or coordination.

06

Commercial-insurance direct billing

Eligibility depends on the insurer, policy, hospital and medical service. A hospital's insurer relationships alone do not guarantee direct billing for an individual case.
